Where I've Been:
As a child and teenager, my job was to play the guitar or piano and sing as background music while Dad drew his picture and gave a 10 minute (yes, 10 minute!) sermon on how to receive Jesus as your Savior. Thousands of children and teenagers came to Jesus through their ministry. In my teen years I was a PK (Preacher's Kid) when my parents pastored an inner city church in York, Pennsylvania. I attended Liberty University in Virginia. |

Where I Am:
Of course, I'm very excited to see how God
will use my latest novel, I'll Cross the
River. There are so many wonderful reports coming
back to me from people who read Daughter of China (the first novel) and
its sequel Across the China Sky. Can I dare to dream that
I'll Cross the River will
impact nations? YES!! I dare to dream!!
Our children are growing up so fast! This is the last family picture taken Christmas 2007. Johnathan is 15 and is going to public school this year for the first time. Anyone who calls or comes within 50 yards of our house can tell you that he is our family "guitar man!" I am currently home schooling Judah Hope (left bottom) and Eden Glori (right bottom), who love their dog Jasper and their favorite day is Monday when they go to gymnastics and take delightful art classes with Grandma Cleo, a family friend. Scott just started a new job in February and for the first time is on second shift. Since then, we are eating our largest meal of the day at 1:30 before he goes off to work and then Mom's in charge (i.e. single parenting) for afternoon and evening activities. Talk about a SHIFT!! I still take time to ...
write ... march for human rights for North Korea ... study God's Word! see my website www.northkoreafreedom.wetpaint.com |

Where I'm Going:
(besides heaven 8-) First and foremost, Scott and I are going to be parents again! Our children are coming from Burma! Hmen (pronounced like "men" backwards) age 15 and Marip (pronounced like "Marie" with a "p" at the end) age 17 are coming to us sometime in May or June. Hmen and Marip are originally from Burma. They had to run for their lives from Burma to Malaysia where they were refugees since August 2007. Marip and Hmen are not related to one another. They are both orphans and we are honored and excited to welcome them into our family and home. Both girls attest to be Christians. This generation of Christians in Burma are the descendents of converts who were won to Christ by Adoniram and Ann Judson, the very first missionaries to ever be sent out from the USA. If you are interested in caring for unaccompanied refugee minors (URMs) please click here for more information: http://seehope.com/helporphans/index.asp Through a State Department program, we do not pay for their transportation here and their insurance, after their arrival in our home, is paid for through the government. I would love to present this work to your church families and invite them to become parents of URMs. (The children may come from a number of countries. Presently we need parents for the Burmese children.)
